Phase 2 Water Restrictions

The City of Liberty Hill is joining our surrounding cities by moving to Phase 2 water restrictions for water conservation. Protecting our resources during these drought conditions requires using our water supply wisely and responsibly. 

Water Restriction Phase II - Water Use Reduction

  1. Residential water customers 

    Automatic irrigation or irrigation by a hose-end sprinkler for landscaped areas is limited to designated days during the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m.

    • Fridays for customers with a street address ending in 1, 5, or 9.
    • Wednesdays for customers with a street address ending in 2, 4, 6, or 8.
    • Sundays for customers with a street address ending in 0, 3, or 7.
  2. Commercial, multi-family, and homeowners association water customers 

    Automatic irrigation or irrigation by a hose-end sprinkler for landscaped areas is limited to a designated day during the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m.

    • Tuesdays for customers with a street address ending in 1, 5, or 9.
    • Saturdays for customers with a street address ending in 2, 4, 6, or 8.
    • Thursdays for customers with a street address ending in 0, 3, or 7.
  3. The city will reduce flushing operations, but Wetzel Park will remain open.

  4. No limits for landscape irrigation by the means of a hand-held hose, soaker hose, or drip-irrigation system, at a commercial plant nursery, or during the testing of new irrigation system installation or existing irrigation  system repair.

  5. Other non-essential water uses are prohibited except:

    • Use of water from hydrants or flush valves for construction and public safety purposes.
    • The addition of water to a pool or splash pad where necessary to maintain the water purification system in service or to maintain structural integrity of the pool.
    • The washing of vehicles or boats at a commercial car wash facility, or as part of a charity or fundraising event held on a commercial property during the property’s designated watering day as defined in subsection.
    • During the testing of new irrigation system installation or existing irrigation system repair.
