Virtual Court Appearances

ELIGIBLITY FOR VIRTUAL COURT APPEARANCES

Attending a virtual court appearance allows the defendant to:

  • Enter a plea of not guilty and request a trial by judge or trial by jury. Notice of your scheduled trial date will be sent to you for a later date to be deteremined by the court. 
  • Enter a plea of guilty or no contest. Defendants who plead guilty or no contest via a virtual court appearance have the same opportunities for payment plans, compliance dismissals, driver safety courses, or deferred disposition.
  • Request an extension of the due dates establised by a previous judgment.
  • Seek resolution for outstanding warrants with the City of Liberty Hill.

REQUIREMENTS TO APPEAR VIA VIRTUAL COURT:

Submit a request form to the court Virtual Court Request Form

  • A device capable of accessing an internet connection (Smart phone, tablet, PC, etc.)
  • A fast and stable internet connection located in a quiet environment
  • A webcam attached to your PC and a built in microphone that will allow you to talk to the Judge. Your device must also have speakers attached or built in that will allow you to hear what the Judge is saying to you.
  • A vaild email address so that you may receive the link to attend your hearing

ALTERNATE OPTIONS:

  • Should you not have the capabilities listed above please contact the court for alernative options, such as use of a court kiosk provided to the defendant for your hearing.
