There is one electricity provider in Liberty Hill: Pedernales Electric Cooperative. Since this utility provider is a co-op, they rely on users not just as customers, but as members. Which means that customers enjoy unique benefits and rights beyond what electric companies typically offer.
The City of Liberty Hill is anticipating growth and planning to meet the new demands of a rising population. Plans include upgrading existing water and sewer lines while moving forward on new water and sewer projects. These plans contain an additional treatment plant to serve existing homes and businesses as well as new development in Liberty Hill.
Transportation Planning & Roads
Major roads connect Liberty Hill to the rest of Texas, mainly Highway 183/Toll 183A (North and South) and SH29 (East and West). The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority is moving ahead with expanding its Toll 183A from Hero Way in Leander to North of SH29 in Liberty Hill. This project will address increasing populations in Cedar Park, Leander, and Liberty Hill by adding three tolled lanes in each direction. Construction is expected to begin in late 2020, and to be completed in late 2023. A short drive away, Leander Station offers alternative transportation options to Liberty Hill residents through MetroRail and MetroBus services. CARTS and Rideshare services are also available.
